Returns & refunds
If it's not right, send it back. We'll sort it.
We design and print every product ourselves, here in Ireland. We stand behind each one. If something arrives wrong, broken, or just isn't what you hoped for, we'd rather hear from you than have you stuck with it.
Here's how it works.
Three product types, three return paths
Each product page tells you which type the item is. The rules differ slightly, so it's worth a glance.
- Stock items — printed and sitting on the shelf. Full 14-day change-of-mind right, plus everything else below.
- Made-to-order — we print it after you order, but to a standard design. Same 14-day change-of-mind right as stock items.
- Custom or personalised — printed to your specs (size, colour, name, fit). No change-of-mind returns under EU law (CRD Art. 16(c)), but full cover if it arrives faulty, damaged, or wrong.
Changed your mind? You have 14 days
For stock and made-to-order items, you have 14 days from the day you receive the goods to let us know you'd like to return them. No reason needed. This is your right under EU consumer law.
A few practical notes:
- Opened is fine. Tested is fine. EU law lets you handle the goods as you would in a shop — unbox them, look them over, try the fit. Just send the item back in as-new condition: no permanent damage, no missing parts, no scratches from a real install.
- You cover the return shipping on change-of-mind returns. Use a tracked service so it doesn't go wandering.
- Once we have the item back and it's in order, we'll refund you within 14 days.
You can use the model withdrawal form at the bottom of this page if you'd like to, but you don't have to. A plain email works.
Custom and personalised items
Because we print these for you specifically, custom items can't be returned just because you've changed your mind. That part is set by EU law, not by us.
If a custom item arrives faulty, damaged, or doesn't match what you ordered, we'll make it right:
- Get in touch within 7 days of receiving it, with photos.
- We'll print and ship a replacement at our cost, with priority shipping.
- If the replacement also has an issue, we'll refund you in full — original payment method or store credit, your choice.
Faulty, damaged, or wrong item
This applies to every product we sell — stock, made-to-order, or custom.
If your order arrives faulty, damaged in transit, or it's simply not what you ordered:
- Email hello@rocksolidinnovations.store within 7 days of receipt with your order number and a couple of photos. The photos genuinely help — we use them to figure out whether it's a print issue, a packing issue, or a courier issue, and to fix the root cause for the next person.
- You choose the resolution: replace, repair, or refund.
- We pay the return shipping. If it's our mistake (wrong item shipped), we'll arrange collection at our cost and send the right one out on priority shipping — no need to return the wrong one before we send the replacement.
This sits alongside your 2-year statutory guarantee under Irish and EU consumer law, which covers defects that show up after delivery. That guarantee can't be waived and never expires before the two years are up.
Lost in transit
If your order hasn't arrived and the tracking has gone quiet, email us. For EU deliveries, we typically ask the carrier to confirm loss after about 10 working days past the expected delivery date. Once they do, you choose: full refund or a free replacement on priority shipping. We handle the carrier claim — you don't need to.
How to start a return
One email is all it takes.
Send a note to hello@rocksolidinnovations.store with:
- Your order number.
- Which item(s) you're returning and why (a sentence is plenty).
- Photos, if it's faulty, damaged, or wrong.
We'll reply within two working days with a return address and, where it applies, a prepaid label. Pop the item back in its original packaging if you can — if you can't, any sturdy box works.
Refunds — method and timing
Once we've received the item and checked it over, your refund goes out within 14 days, as required by EU law.
You choose how you'd like it back:
- Original payment method — straight back to the card or PayPal account you paid with. Banks and PayPal then take their own time (usually 3–5 working days) to show it on your statement.
- Store credit — instant, no bank delay. Some people prefer it; we never push it.
Original outbound shipping is refunded in full if the return is because of a fault, damage, or our mistake. On change-of-mind returns, we refund the cost of the cheapest standard delivery option we offered for your zone. If you chose a faster paid option, we refund up to the cost of that standard option only — the difference stays with the carrier upgrade you picked.
Your statutory rights
Your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law are unaffected.

You don't have to use this — a plain email is fine — but EU law requires we make it available.
